This position is accountable for the safe and efficient installation, maintenance and repair of all plant Instrumentation, controls and electrical equipment.
The incumbent should be:
- Proficient in working with power plant or large industrial electrical equipment, process control loops and process control systems including PLC-based control systems.
- Must be able to locate and diagnose problems with instrumentation and control systems and, high voltage electrical systems and equipment.
- Must be able to utilize guidelines provided by electrical codes, drawings, schematics and use a variety of hand tools, measuring and testing instruments.
- Must have proven troubleshooting skills. Experience with pneumatic positioners and instrument tubing installations, water analysis instrumentation for PH and conductivity measurement and continuous emissions monitoring analyzers (CEM) is desirable. Turbine rotating electrical equipment instrumentation.
- Working at heights and in cold weather is required.
Experience:
- A minimum of five (5) years electrical and instrumentation and control trouble shooting experience in a utility or industrial environment.
- A Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician’s License is desired.
- Participation in DOT random testing program required.
